A couple of weeks ago we went for a very pleasant visit to the wonderful Chinese Garden of Friendship in Sydney’s Darling Harbour area. Having been there many times before, there were no real surprises, but it is looking particularly beautiful at the moment.
Not much else to say about it really, but I did take a bunch of photos…
The amazingly tranquil Chinese Gardens, with high density Sydney just over the road.
Huge koi, presumably waiting for someone to feed them.
Some ducks lounging by the pond.
Surrounded by fish too big to eat, this bird (is it a cormorant?) remained perched on this rock for the entirety of our visit.
One of several water dragons we saw around the gardens.
Now this is a stone lantern.
One of the few inspirational ideas from the gardens that might actually fit in our own garden.
This beautiful entry way brought to mind Through the Looking Glass and Hobbits.
Hard to believe that this relatively small space is surrounded by the hustle and bustle of central Sydney.
