Seating around a fire-pit.

A great looking fire-pit / BBQ for those cold highland nights.

I haven’t seen this done before. There was a pit in the ground, with a fancy looking sandstone surround. Stuck in at the edge of the pit was a star-picket with a swinging arm, holding a cooking plate. Whether BBQ’ing or sitting out on a cold winter night, it looked like a very pleasant set-up.
